Jonathan's film soundtrack career started in London in 1990, and in 1992 Miramax whisked him off to the USA to use his award-winning talent on a variety of their films. He returned to the UK briefly to work on films such as Trainspotting and Muppet Treasure Island, but following his success as Sound Designer on Independence Day in LA, Jonathan founded Sonic Magic Studios in Culver City - now a highly successful company of which Jonathan is President. Jonathan is now CEO of Richmond Studios US, looking after content production, DVD and audio work in the US.

Jonathan lives in Venice Beach with his wife and daughter, enjoying the occasional covert trip to the race-track.
