Richmond Studios designed and authored Simply Red's previous live DVD, shot in Sicily. This time, Mick Hucknall and his band chose Havana, Cuba as the location for a mesmerising show including local dancers and musicians. Toby Alington from Richmond Studios was engaged by Done and Dusted to record the soundtrack.

The complete audio solution was freighted to Cuba from England, since there were no suitable local supplies and the US cannot ship anything directly to Cuba. A 56-track digital recording rig, including mixing desks from Britannia Row, was spec'd by Richmond Studios and every cable and connector was checked before shipping to Cuba.

The resulting multitracks were mixed by Toby Alington in London, and then 8-channel stems of the backing-track, vocal and audience were taken to Richmond Studios as 24-bit 48kHz audio files on Firewire hard-drives.

Toby Alington and Leaf Troup handled the mastering and final post-production at Richmond Studios, making final tweaks as requested by Mick Hucknall. Broadcast laybacks were made to the HiDef HDCam video masters for Done and Dusted.

This was Richmond Studios' third production for Simply Red in three years.
